Providence Corporate Cup

Originally established in 1985, the Corporate Cup event is an annual run/walk where thousands of participants from hundreds of companies in the Baton Rouge area come together to celebrate corporate wellness, camaraderie, and community fellowship. After a hiatus, Providence took ownership of the race in 2008 and established it as a non-profit event. The Providence Corporate Cup touts the message that "good health is good business," and this event not only advocates wellness in the workplace, but also supports two Baton Rouge non-profits: The Mid City Redevelopment Alliance and The Big Buddy Program. Celebrating our 30th year, we continue our focus on corporate health, wellness, and illness prevention. We are the only company in the area focused on corporate wellness, fitness, and general illness prevention as a philosophy of business. It is Providence's privilege to carry on this long-time tradition established many years ago. The Providence Corporate Cup 5K Run/Walk includes competition in four divisions for participating corporate teams, as well as the open division which consists of runners/walkers that are not necessarily associated with a corporation.
Teams and runners can look forward to a beautiful course running through Baton Rouge, awards to overall winners in each division, a Corporate Wellness Program Award, a T-shirt Design Contest, and a Cook-Off Challenge. Many companies have on-site tent locations for their employees, associates, families, and friends to be a part of the community-driven event. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Big Buddy Program and the Mid City Redevelopment Alliance.
CORPORATE WELLNESS AWARD
The Corporate Wellness Award is presented to a company or individual that is a "pacesetter" in corporate wellness in the Baton Rouge community -- promoting healthier lifestyles through wellness/physical fitness programs, events, contests, and habits. Click HERE for more information.
